About

Free Flight South Africa is being created to give free-flight pilots a practical, modern, and supportive home.

We are here for the people who fly, teach, support, and build the sport – including paragliding, parakiting, speedflying, hang gliding, paramotor, and related free-flight disciplines. Our focus is simple: make it easier for pilots, schools, clubs, and instructors to get the support they need without unnecessary complexity.

FFSA is built around clear communication, sensible administration, good governance, and a strong safety culture. We want pilots to know where they stand, understand what is expected, and have access to useful information when they need it.

We do not believe an association should make flying feel harder than it already is. Our job is to support the community, help keep things organised, and represent free-flight aviation in a constructive and credible way.

FFSA is new, but the idea behind it is straightforward: keep things simple, treat people fairly, focus on safety, and help pilots get on with flying.
